چکیده

Dermatomyositis is an autoimmune connective tissue disease with variable cutaneous and systemic manifestations. While multiple reactions to SARS-CoV-2 vaccination have been described, vaccine-associated emergence of dermatomyositis has rarely reported. Cases deterioration in pre-existing diseases described following both COVID-19 infection. A potential mechanism immune system activation dysregulation suggested. This case describes acute onset a young female, presenting classic features including Gottron papules, Holster sign proximal nail fold erythema, accompanied myalgia fatigue. Laboratory findings elevated creatine kinase myositis-specific autoantibodies confirmed the diagnosis, supportive histological necrotic keratinocytes at dermoepidermal junction. In keeping typical progression NXP-2 autoantibodies, resolved rapidly, while manifestations slowly improved treatment. Thorough investigations for underlying malignancy were completed. adds limited medical literature surrounding these cases further highlights importance consideration immunologic pathophysiology diseases.

Pemphigus foliaceus associated with anti-NXP2 autoantibody-positive dermatomyositis.

SHORT COMMUNICATION Pemphigus foliaceus (PF) is one of the autoimmune blistering diseases (ABDs) characterised by autoantibodies (Abs) binding to desmoglein (Dsg) 1, resulting in acant-holysis and intraepidermal blistering. Several other au-toimmune diseases have been reported to occur in patients with ABDs, such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and Grave's disease (1). Ho...

Concise report Calcinosis in juvenile dermatomyositis is influenced by both anti-NXP2 autoantibody status and age at disease onset

Objective. Calcinosis is a major cause of morbidity in JDM and has previously been linked to anti-NXP2 autoantibodies, younger age at disease onset and more persistent disease activity. This study aimed to investigate the clinical associations of anti-NXP2 autoantibodies in patients with JDM stratified by age at disease onset. Methods. A total of 285 patients with samples and clinical data were...

Interstitial lung disease in an adult patient with dermatomyositis and anti-NXP2 autoantibody.

Idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs) are characterised by inflammatory involvement of skeletal muscles causing weakness and pain, with possible associated systemic manifestations including frequent interstitial lung disease (ILD), and significant morbidity and mortality. Accumulating evidence suggests an important contribution of autoimmune responses to the pathogenesis of these diseases. ...

Immunohistochemical screening for antibodies in recent onset type 1 narcolepsy and after H1N1 vaccination.

Narcolepsy type 1 patients typically have undetectable hypocretin-1 levels in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), as a result of a selective loss of the hypocretin containing neurons in the hypothalamus. An autoimmune attack targeting hypothalamic hypocretin (orexin) neurons is hypothesised. So far, no direct evidence for an autoimmune attack was found. One of the major limitations of previous studi...
